'87 300D: where does this vacuum line go?
It tee's into the side of the injection pump and goes forward where? I thought it may connect to the following 5 leg vacuum block by the fuel filter since the upper and upper right legs have no lines going to them, but both have plugs in them. Where elso could it go? |

Someone has plugged off portions of the system. You will need a vacuum schematic to piece it together.

Pic 1 - The yellowish line should go from a splitter atop the transmission modulator on the IP to the one of the arms on the 5-way splitter in Pic 2. You seem to be missing a bracket and fuel line clamps that hang from the intake manifold just ahead of the engine shut-off valve.
Pic 2 - the solo stem should connect to the vacuum pump below and ahead of the main fuel filter. Two arms go towards the air filter to the ARV and EGR amplifiers. The other two arms feed the line to the tranmission modulator on the IP and the cabin... to the extent that you can feed vacuum. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |
