Just as an FYI, some better-quality screwdrivers are magnetized. I don't know if this will help anyone with this procedure, but thought I'd put that out there.

As for my own problem, yesterday my passenger-side rear door suddenly started opening again on its own. I noticed the door was slightly ajar, tried it and it opened and has worked since. So somehow when fully closed it locks itself, but then comes ajar on its own somehow and resumes working. Is there a gremlin in my garage?
