Hmmm

Hello gatliffe
I have been looking also.
There is only one speciality yard near Holly.
All other yards may have one or two MB.
Seems that no one wants to have forgin cars on their lot.
When you get near Pontiac, stop and say hello.

I have wondered if there were any boneyards in the area myself. After seeing the condition of most of the cars around I figure there isn't much in the way of usable parts. Maybe a few "less rusted" parts would be salvageable.

I went to the one in Holly about 15 years ago to get a bumper for my 115 chassis 300D. Hven't been there since, but they're still there. I've been told there is another import yard down where Mound Road deadends south of I-696, and another on 6-mile Road in Detroit.

Oh yes, there is also Michigan Imports on Newburg at Cherry Hill in Canton. I got a whole set of tires from a 190E there about 5 years ago.

I was at the Mound Rd yard yeaaars ago. However, it was when I was in my Audi stage, and hadn't graduated to Benz's yet. I think it was east of Mound Rd, on one of the mile roads (somewhere past 12, I think) Might want to do a yellow page search first. Not sure what city that would be...maybe Mt. Clemens?
