Brake fluid brands? 93' 300E 3.2L and 83' 300SD

O.k. I am going to be changing the brake fluid on my 2 MB's shortly. Any suggestions as far as the best type to use? Also is there a step by step procedure to performing this task? Where can I buy the pump to flush the system....Thanks for all suggestions!

Are those speedbleeders any good? I saw the website and was curious as to how well they work?

I've read many people rave about how speedibleeders simplify brake bleeding, and some complain that they don't work properly after a number of years. I believe it's important to make sure the bleeders are covered with a cap (or packed with silicone grease) to prevent debris from contaminanting the bleeders.

I have used the speedbleeders, and they have worked well for me. They come with a nice cap, and they claim they will replace them for free if they fail for any reason.

You can also buy a 'one man' brake bleeding kit, which is similar in concept (check valve), and much cheaper if you have several cars.

For the cost of putting speedbleeders on 2 cars, you can buy a pressure bleeding setup.

As for brands of brake fluid, any brand of DOT 4 would be fine. MBs call for DOT 4 fluid.
