I haven't seen it here at Fastlane. However, I know you can get it on-line @ **************.com along with some tubing, new in-line filters and instructions on how to use it.

Went to the above site and found the product.

It is available at the site below for $6.76 plus $5.00 shipping.

www.olyonline.com

Need to order a bunch cause shipping is only $5.00 for one or a few.

Wal-Mart handles Power Service and it's found in about every truck stop or truck center. It's an excellent cleaner and cetane booster. I've used it for years.

IMO I think DP is just snake oil. It did absolutely nothing for me. I used 2 cans as directed and since I felt no improvement I removed the injectors and disassembled them and found they were still full of crud.
Use whatever you feel works.

It may very well be that it will only take out light crud... it would be hard to say with just one trial based on really caked on stuff.. but I know that fuel injected engines of many brands call for this type stuff in their manuals.....
And I put some in my 240 the other day when I did the tank cleaning... and I sure THINK it made a difference in smoothness... of course the only way to really tell is if someone were to do it to your car at some random time WHICH you did not know about... then see if you noticed a difference without being told it was done...
I swear my car runs faster after I have washed it.....

performance improvement:

Damn leath, you mean it doesn't run faster after a car wash. It has to, with all the dirt off and slicker surface you have less wind resistance so there is less drag. Got to be faster.
And if your change the oil you have more horse power or is it Bs I can't remember.

I think my car ran faster after I changed the air in the tires.

Diesel Purge bad

Diesel purge will loosen all the crud at the bottom of your IP. This crud has accumulated over 25 years. It will now go smashing its way through the IP and wearing down injector parts. Take your injectors apart and clean them instead. Let this sleeping dog alone or risk having to buy a new IP, If you really want to do it all parts will order it for you. And if you need new injectors or IP drop me a PM I will give you a good deal on the parts.

MattDave, Do you have ANY thing to support that ' information' ? Anyone else who has had that happen to their car ? Any service literature like TSB's warning of that happening ? Anything ?

The idea sounds possible. I would think the IP could end up with some residue over the years and all it would take is for some solvent to loosen it up. Who knows?

Just thought it funny that I have never seen anyone say " I used it and it clogged " anything...
If this happened regularly I would expect it to be mentioned places like the Performance catalog where they give very specific instructions on using it.... if many people had called saying " this stuff loosened a bunch of gunk , etc" I think they would warn people to be prepared to take the injectors apart if any signs of problems show up...
Plenty of people have had the screen in the tank clog after using biocide... and we have seen the reports and warnings...

good horse sence and

Are local bosh repair guy must be a hundred years old swears it is bad for the FI system his credentials and what seems like common sense after listening to him explain why it is bad, have convinced me.
or it is not listed here as good. http://www.mccallhitch.com/farlow/articles/farlow3/farlow3.htm
Oh and cant recall his handle right now but he helped Design bosh injector systems and has worked on them for something like 30 years has also posted on this site that it is bad. But I will go by my good sense that taking crud including minerals i.e. rocks. Those have accumulated over 25 to 30 years in the nooks, crannies and at the bottom of something and freeing it with solvents and detergents to travel through fine tolerance precision parts is not a good idea. Take it apart and clean it don’t rely on snake oil Evan if it seems to work what if you’re the guy it did not work for and now your buying parts you did not need before.
