where the hell is my trans modulator? 79 300d?
 

Here we go... The neck breaker shift from first to second is getting to me. Some times it starts in second until I use the kickdown switch. I wanted to check the modulator but i can't find it. Damn. Here's my trans number: 123-27007017 722 11800 05621. Maybe its a different transmission? I can't find one vacuum hose to the transmission.

First adjust the control pressure rod. The early cars have a push pull rod set up, read the following post.

The control pressure rod is where? Is that the rod on the linkage on the passenger side of the Valve cover? Forgive me... I'm new at this Diesel thing. Howabout those Detroit Pistons?
