Sylvnaia Xenarcs in DOT Headlights, anyone?
Has anyone put the Xenarc lighting system into any of their cars? I would assume on an old w126 with the 6054 system or the w123 with the 6024 system or an R107 with the 5006 system.
I am interested in trying it out, I just wanted to see if anyone has done it. When they first came out they were $899 plus shipping, so you are at about a grand by the time everything is said and done. They are around $550 or so now. What do you guys think? I already have w123 euro lights, and I love them, but I wanted to try something new. Its just that the DOT housings are ugly. I think I might paint the headlight bezel/grills black. Mainly interested on your input on the Xenarcs. Thanks |
I just installed Hella (H4) glass headlamps in the Benz about month and a half ago, as orginally came in the car, only I got the Euro beam style. All for less then $75 and man did it make a big difference in the way the road was lit up at night.
Love those headlights at night. :D  |
You put hella 7" round H4s in your DOT set up?
Thats cool, but the factory w123 gas euro light reflectors are really good, and it really lights up the road. Someone has to have xenarcs?!?!?!? |
It's really hard to find reviews for these things.. it's weird. I searched the web too but no luck?

Holson,
I couldnt find any reviews either. The only people that I can think that would have bought these would be hummer people and Jeep people, maybe some range rover classic people, but those are really the only enthusiasts willing to shell out that kind of money for some lights. Old Navy, I dont think a 240D could outdrive DOT headlights. But yeah, its nice to see what is ahead of you at any rate. Post a pic of the ones you put on your car. |

put out a really nice clean white light that is even across the road. the yellows work well also. when it gets warm(over 20) i will splice them into the parking light systems ala the diy tip to use them seperately.

Remember only a doofus runs fog lights when there is no fog. |

Around here, you need to have headlights on when it is raining. Now the headlights don't do a damn thing to help you see anything. They do, however, allow other traffic to see you. Why burn the relatively expensive H4's when you can just as easily burn the cheap H3's on the W126? I do it all the time. |
