I think I can figure out how to drain everything including the convertor. What about the refill procedure? Just button everything back up and start dumping fluid down the dipstick? I guess the convertor will refill itself when I start the car?

Pretty much.... a funnel really helps hit the dipstick tube....yes, TQ will refill itself. So you will have to fill, start, check, adjust....don't leave it too high or too low.

Uh yeah but please remember to put in 3-4 quarts and then start the engine - this will fill the torque converter with fluid. If you just dump the 7-8 quarts directly in without doing this you will have a bit of a mess on your hands.

Don't ask me how I know...

I think I poured in the first 6 (? been awhile) quarts and then started topping off.
It doesn't take much to move up the stick so go slowly with the last half quart.
