no oil psi 617.910

It just died at highway speed. Then it dragged when cranking. I put a new bosch starter in it ,and same thing. Pulled injectors, top of pistons had fuel on them. Blew out the fuel by cranking (cranked well without injectors) New injuctors installed. Starts right up now but no oil pressure and makes alot of noise on the bottom. What now must I do?

Dan

PS. This is the same post with a different heading as suggested. Thanks..

I think that the posts which had been offered were really good... don't turn the engine over until you get it fixed.... and you may have to do some real work to determine how much damage if any was done... IE, you have to see if it is really the oil pressure or just the oil sending unit, oil guage, etc....
I think you are going to have to pull the lower pan.
If it was the chain to the oil pump it would have to come off anyway...
However, if you take it off while in the car you have the possibility of this ONLY being the oil pressure valve which is screwed into the back of the oil pump.... when you take off the lower pan look inside it for Chain or metal or this little ' plug'......
Until you do this (pull the lower pan) I don't think there is any way to say just how much work you have ahead to get it trustworthy....
