Can anybody identify the part numbers?
Hi everybody, I have a couple of pesky parts under the hood that I took pictures of, but can't identify part numbers, because I need to order a new part for it. If anybody can help, that would be greatly appreciated
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...e/f824a59d.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c/f824a59e.jpg I have outlined in RED the hoses that I need to order and replace. Both parts that are on there now are not the OE parts, I had to gerryrig them on the spot out some generic rubber hose that I had. Thanks for your time guys, Andrew Halligan:D |

That short thick hose is a PITA to replace, it is only a few bucks and was found on many MB's. It can be removed with a razor blade and you can try to squeeze the new one on.... Here is a hint, order the gasket for the thermostat housing, mates with the top of the hose, the gasket is where it meets the engine block.
Remove the thermo. housing assy from the block,(two nuts) then clean up the the scale and corrosion on the shaft that is covered by the hose. This is what caused the hose junction to leak in the first place. I use razor blades and crocus cloth. Clean both ends as best you can. I coat the mating surfaces with blue RTV to ensure a seal. While you are at it, change the theromstat and order a gasket for the theromstat..... |
