Congratulations. In another 61k miles and you can get your 500,000km badge. I'll be rolling a big 190k miles here either this week or next.

What is the problem with that? Some areas are 75 mph . The photo could be doctored : . The speedometer could be wrong .

Plus, who is going to hunt him down and arrest him?

It's not to difficult just point and shoot. It gets a little more tricky over 100. (Not that I would ever do such a thing )

I have 14,297 to go before I hit the 1/4 million mark. Probably sometime next year.

I believe that mudduck's issue was not one of legality, but of safety.

Or putting in their contact lenses in the rear-view mirror....

I'd prefer that he had a passenger take the photo, but if it's a digital he probably wasn't looking through the lens when he took the pic. It's harder to change a preset on my radio than it is to take a pic with the digital camera.

Speaking of which, what's wrong in this photo:

And a Mercedes speedo to stay on topic:
http://tad.grosvenor.org/gallery/Disney1999/speedo2

The first photo that was ever taken with my first digital camera was the dash of my car on the way home. My friend opened the box, installed the batteries and snapped a pic of the speedometer. Too bad I didn't save that photo.

Yea if I take pictures of my speedo/odometer I'll be moving but I just keep snapping pictures without really aiming and until the picture on the back of the camera looks good. At 70mph that is 51seconds of picture taking time before it rolls over again.

Ahhh just yankin yer chain a little.... I bought my first MB this week (1981 240D) and being a puter junkie been looking all over the net for info....this is the first place I've seen that seemed like it might have a sense of humor

I drove truck for 4 years in the gulf coast area and 6 years up and down the "seaboard" ... DC to Baltimore was hands down the record holder for strangest sights and most nude lady drivers...the ones in Houston and Baton Rouge were prettier though...
