Grille Removal
Can someone help me? I am trying to replace the grille screen, on my 82 300sd, but can't figure out how to get the dumb thing apart. I have removed 6 screws (3 on each side) as well as screws on the top and bottom of the chrome surrounding the screen. What I can't figure out is how to pull the screen itself out. It appears there are "clips" on each side that are keeping the grille secure. Does anyone know if I am supposed to remove these clips or bend them forward, or what? HELP!!!!!!!!!

It is easier to take the entire grille off first. Those clips should slide right off. It has been a while since I had mine off.

Ok. It appears that the nails slide right through the clips, and the clips are moveable, I just didn't want to damage anything. I guess I will just remove the entire grill. Thank you for your help. It's much appreciated.
