Blinker not blinking
Hey duuuuddees,
My reliable and inexpensive to maintain car has a little problem again. When I engage my blinker left or right (it doesn't matter), it usually works. But sometimes it might blink for a moment, then go solid. The solenoid will stop clicking and my blinker light on the dash and blinkers around the car will stay illuminated permanataly. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to the problem, it just happens. I replaced my hazard switch because I vaguely remembered hearing that they fail and cause this problem on my 190 forum. That didn't fix it, but I swear it made it happen less often. I also have a slightly jumpy gas guage and mabye a ground problem on my stereo circuit. What is teh fixor? Cassidy

Mine was doing the same thing. My turn signal relay was the culprit. Fastlane sells them. Location is under the console, I seem to recall it was forward of the shifter.

next time that happens just turn on the hazards for one second and then your blinkers should work. I've had that happen to me and everytime I turn on the hazards that seems to reset something and the blinkers work.

Happened to mine too. On mine it was under the cover where the window buttons are (or at least accessed from there).

Yup, you need to remove the wooden console cover (two screws behind the ash tray) and the relay is just in front of the shifter assembly. Not a big deal to get to it.
