throttle linkage adjustment on 300SD
I have a 1980 300SD and the ball joint throttle linkage came unscrewed the other day and after rejoining the rod and ballcap I must have put too many turns on it as the shift points have changed. I have since readjusted it several times and have gotten it closer but still seems off on the upper gears. I also at the same time readjusted the fiber block on the kick down rod which pivots on the top of the valve cover and runs down to the trans, it may be worn too far as it took alot of rod before it began to thread. Any adjustment suggestions or techniques that I could benefit from would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Your best bet is to follow the instructions in the factory OM 617 turbo manual. That is what I always use.
