Where to get Mobil Delvac 1 in houston
Where can i get Mobil Delvac 1 in houston? i also need a good oil change pump any suggestions?
id rather not turn this into an oil debate, just need to know where to get the stuff, thanks. |
Grdenko,
At the very worst, find a Mobil distributor in your area by using the Mobil website or the yellow pages. They have it, but they will charge you the recommended retail price. Try a boating store for the pump. They were apparently originally developed for boaters where the oil pan plug is either inaccessible or there is no room for a pan to collect the drained oil. They have many brands and styles. I had an electric one for a while but found it either did not get along with hot oil, or hot synthetic oil as the impeller, a rubber spoked wheel, turned out to be very not robust. Broke the spokes off in about 5 oil changes, then put a new impeller in and it lasted another 4 or 5 changes. I gave up and went back to the hand pump units. I have the one with the tall transluscent cylinder that fills with about 4 quarts. That is only beef I have with it, as 4 quarts means two sessions. But it is inexpensive and reliable. My first was made from an old gas can and it eventually collapsed. It was reliable but couldn't deal with hot oil and any physical abuse simultaneously. When it collapsed it was very abrupt. Hope this helps, and good luck. Jim |
Try the Petro Truck Stops

When I was in Atlanta they had Delvac & the one on I-40 to Knoxville sells it too.. |
Simplest thing would be to get Mobil Truck & SUV Oil at Walmart (or wherever). It's identical to Delvac 1 from what I understand.
