124 Fuel Sender Removal, Anyone?

How many out there have a 124 wagon and have removed the sender in the tank?

Did you have to drop the tank to get the sender out? If not, where is an access to get to the sender?

Tank removal

I have done it three times. THe sender unit is removed from inside the car and the tank does not need to be dropped. THe rear thrid seat bottom and plywood hinge assembly needs to be removed. Then the gray felt liner needs to be removed from the storage bin after removal of the black plastic pins. The sender unit is located under a white plastic cap. Make sure you are careful when you remove the sender unit so you don't drip fuel on the inside of the car.
