1984 300d tranny

I drive a 1984 300d with a turbo mercedes benz

My transmission stopped working suddenly after working fine.
I noticed that there was a leak at the location where the pipe for the transmission dip stick (the fill pipe) and the transmission case.
I looked down to where the pipe connects on to the case and did not see a nut or bolt of any kind. I am wondering how the transmission fill pipe is connected to the housing, is it a press fit?
How can i fix the leak?

I also saw a loose rubber hose (~6 mm diameter) hanging out right above the transmission it looks like a vacuum hose. Does anyone know where that goes?

Is there a good place to look for diagrams of transmission assemblies for a 1984 300D?

That sounds like someone stole your banjo bolt from the dip tube.
