Hayne's Manual for 1987 300D???

More recently I've been hearing referances mentioned in posts to Hayne's repair manual for 87 300DT.

I was not aware there is such. I don't have any manual, or CD, for my 87 300DT and would buy the Hayne's if I knew it was available. I have not seen any around my area, so where can I find it?

Haynes 124 manual

I have one that I found on Ebay. It is Haynes 3253 and was for the British market.

Yes it is for the British market. I ordered mine when it came out several years ago. I fully expect that you can search with the number offered and find a source.

Good luck,

I just found this, if it helps. Doesn't cover some models.

Cool Manuals

I found many good manuals for sale , check out Barns&Noble and Amazon.com. You will have to do a little searching but the gold is there.
Good luck

Thank you Dresserman

I checked Amazon.com and found the Haynes 124 series repair manual.

It's a bit much on price, $42 and some change, but I'll order it!

Thanks everyone for their input.....................

I have the Haynes UK W124 manual and I find it has limited information compared to other Haynes manuals. Too many engines, not enough detail. About all I use it for is to look up torque specs because it takes too long to fire up the PC to check the CD manual.

I got mine from whsmith.co.uk a couple of years ago but I just got a message saying they aren't shipping outside the UK (or outside the EU?) until they upgrade some system or other.

I can agree with your experiences with the HAYNES automobile repair publications.

I've bought five different manuals over the years, Volvo, Buick, Oldsmobile, Mercedes 190E, Mercedes 300D (123)

My brother is a Volvo specialist in Maine, I am a mechanical, electrical, and structural engineer.

I have generally done all of my maintainance, on all my cars, dating back 33 years, with the exception of two cars bought new, dealer maintained.

The Haynes repair manuals give good basic direction for novice "do it your self" application. (I fit somewhere in here)

My 87 300DT is a new challange for me and I'm learning.

As it is apperant that you are more aware of the mechanics than many on this forum, and if I haven't already thanked you for good advise and direction on several posts I've made, and you have responed to, Thank You Sixto.

Your contribution here is awsome, and I doubt many here would bother with MB DYR's if people like you were not available for good sound advise!

I just wanted to thank you..........
