Yeah...posted on it already...the

spit image of MY '81 Maple Yellow 240.

For quality, durability, simplicity and reliability, how can you beat these things? Such a shame they can't build them NOW!

Please post the article!!!!

can someone print a copy of the article. I would love to read it!! I have been doing extensive research on the 240 and 300 diesels but can't find much. How about letting all of us share. I know there are many of us who would love to take a look. By the way, is there a way for me to buy this issue? Is it too late to get it?

It's the current issue of The Star, which you

get with MBCA membership...Article was a very good profile of one subject 240, but was primarily a photo feature...the last issue of the Mercedes Enthusiast did a focus piece on W123 models - primarily gas - and a few months back this mostly european mag did a feature by Reed Hitchcock on 123 diesels in the US...including MY '83 CD.

A really good source of info on these cars I mention repeatedly is "The Illustrated Mercedes-Benz Buyer's Guide" by Frank Barrett...a $20 paperback now going out of print (but still around if you look).

Check the MBCA website to see how you might buy a copy of the current Star.

It's on the way!

After I read this post yesterday I immediately did a search on star magazine and called them and they agreed to send me a copy of the july/aug. mag. Thanks for the help.
