I will be puling the manifold and turbo and using the same location FI used. I am planning to use a weld on fitting rather than tapping.

Don't forget, welding cast is kind of a no-no. Cracking.....

Right...forgot about that. Have you had any leaks with your tapped hole. I thought that these thermocouples used tapered threads.

No leaks. I just used plenty of anti-seize and the 3/8" NPT thread sealed it very well.
