W124 manual trans?

Hey, I met a guy at a meet here in CA a couple days ago who told me to join(i think it was this forum). He has a pretty modded out W124 wagon, and i believe his name is Justin(someone here might know him). Anyhow, he said that some company in australia makes an adapter to put in my '87 W124 diesel. If I can figure out how to get a stronger manual tranny/diff in here, then i might have to step up to a holset turbo/hopped up injection pump.

BTW: I am a noob to this forum, but know an OK amount about this cars, and I did search, but didnt come up with much.

The manuals used in the 84-89 190D models will bolt up to your engine. You will have to lengthen your driveshaft though.

The tranny is strong, its the clutch that can't hold the power with a modified engine. The european sprinter comes with a manual, supposedly the clutch works in the OM603 like yours. The sprinter makes 280lb/ft of torque and the clutch should be able to hold more than that, especially if you use a stronger pressure plate.

Yep.

Forced Induction is correct. All of the manual trans W201 cars I've ever seen have transmissions that start with 124- part #'s. (Disclaimer - the 16V cars use a different Getrag transmission, but it will still bolt up).
