The biggest VNT?
I'm looking to go VNT on my om602. Since I'm building just solely for speed, I want the best possible vnt easily found.
Some semi run a VNT setup - along these lines!

How about the Holset HE351VE? It's not Semi big, but it's big enough to flow more air than I bet you can use, and it has a t3 flange.
Just search for "Holset" on Ebay, there are a ton of them on there.

Almost, its slightly bigger.
You have anything from the tiny GT1542V all the way up to Holset's huge HE551V/VE. |

what would the max PSI be, and at what rpm does it get violent?

The HE551V/VE? It can push 50psi on a 14.0L Cummins ISX and would light up around 7000rpm on your small engine.
Even the HE341VE used on the 6.7L Cummins would be far more than your engine could handle. Unless you are aiming for 500+hp, anything bigger than a Garret GT3788V (Powerstroke 6.0L and Intertrashional DT466E) would be a waste of time. Even the E320CDI's GT2359V will supply enough air for your engine to make 300hp. Bigger is not better when it comes to turbos. You need to find what best matches your engine's specs and airflow needs, not the biggest you can throw on it. |

Yah, it does help to have enough exhaust flow to spin the thing.
Where the hell do you get all of this turbo model availability/knowledge Forced?

I think the GT3788V is a pedastal mount rather than a flange mount. Personally, on an inline engine, I'd rather have the flange mount. You'll end up having to fabricate a pretty hefty side mount on the engine with the oil supply and returns built in. This turbo also has oil pressure controlled vanes with a computer controlled valve so you'll have to come up with a way to either convert it or control it.
I ran some numbers assuming the following: OM602 2497cc 350HP goal Decent intercooler 4750 RPM peak HP Result: Wa = 49.77 IIc = 3.93 Plug these two numbers into the compressor maps of turbo's you're interested in to see how they compare.

The Powerjoke's turbo is pedestal mounted, but the Intertrashional's is a normal flange mounted.
