Suggestion: Sticky for transmission/engine cross-ref guide
It shouldn't be too hard to make up a simple cross reference guide for what transmissions fit what.
A good chunk of people in the tuning forum either already have or want a manual. And those that have a manual..well seem to want a five speed ![]() So far I've got it down to: OM617.x / 722.118 and if I'm not mistaken 711.x / 717.x and GL275? Confusing, however. This article lists the 4G-tronic 722.x transmission as being used all the way up to the W210/OM606? I thought they were incompatable. And very different technologies. This is where a chart would be nice

One sticky is plenty as-is. I'd hate for it to become a clusterf*** of stickies like DD.

Beh, fine. I'll submit it as a DIY article. Picky aren't we?
"SO YOU WANNA STICK, EH?"
