My 1997 e300 is slooooow

Old car runs great. It has had lots of maintenance including a rebuilt injection pump about two years ago. I had a 95 E300 before this W210. That damn car would run circles around this one. Is there anything I can adjust? Turn the fuel up? I have searched all over the inter-webs and have found only information about turbo models. Not looking to roll coal but I will if it’ll give me some pep

Thanks! Joe

How old are the fuel filters?
What's the state of your injectors?
do you see rust on your fuel cap?

adjusting a slow running car = breaking it even more
