First mods...Now a question.

Yesterday, I spent a bit of time following some of the wisdom on this board. All I did was clean the banjo bolt, tube, overboost valve, and I began adjusting the ALDA. I test drove after just the cleaning and noticed no difference. Adjusted the ALDA 1/2 turn CCW and noticed a nice increase in pull off the line up to about 2100RPM when the turbo fully spools. 1/2 turn was good so I went another 1/2 which really woke things up low in the rpm range....so much so that under full throttle there is a very faint vibration on the 1-2 shift. It feels like a tiny amount of wheel hop. Is this possible or should I look elsewhere?

Still not getting any black smoke so there may be a bit more air to throw fuel at by adjusting the ALDA another notch or two. I'm a bit worried about doing that if more low end torque could quickly finish off an otherwise perfectly shifting tranny. Any thoughts on this?

The wheel hop/tire chirp is also affected by your choice of tires -- some grip better than others -- and by how "firmly" the transmission shifts. I have noticed the same effect occasionally in my '87 300D Turbo and it seems to be determined by my right foot and how much torque the engine is making when the transmission decides it's time to upshift.
