300 SD Super Turbo Diesel - Caution! Not for the purist!
Just in case you don't frequent www.superturbodiesel.com , I have included a link to my build that is still a work in progress.
http://www.superturbodiesel.com/std/new-project-skunkwerks-em9d-t-858.html It is a OM617 with a M90 Supercharger feeding a GT35 turbo. As far as fuel, I am having my M-pump fitted with 7.5mm elements and it should be putting out 4 times as much fuel as stock. Once this project is complete I will be adapting a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. |

Very nice! Any idea which transmission you will use?

Thanks. I am considering using a T5 as it is plentiful and strong enough to handle the power. There is also plethura of parts performance parts available to boot. I believe our comrade Jeemu has adapted one to his benz and it seems to work fine.
I am currently working on the bell housiing adapter to see if it is viable for my project. |

Clearly an amazing amount of top-shelf work there! Any particular reason you've chosen to use the OM617 for this project, vs one of the later version diesels?

T5s aren't all that strong, I don't know that much about the different versions like the "world class" and whatnot but stock T5s have been known to break behind 305 chevies and 4.0L fords. The low end torque of a blown diesel may send it to hell fast.

My pump will be shipped tomorrow - you can read about it here: http://superturbodiesel.com/std/cylinder-super-pump-testing-fitted-with-m75-floyd-t-1356.html Once I get the pump and install the fun will begin! |

It depends on which one you get, a WC from a Cobra can handle 320 lb/ft. I am leaning toward a Tremec from Jegs or Summit for my appilcation.

It's an OMG617! You get points for creativity.

Fair enough. So is that a guy in the states modding your pump? I hate money threads but can you give us a ballpark? If he provides similar services to Myna without the table-bending over that is the exchange rate that is certainly appealing.

Well, It is verboten to discuss this regarding my pump, however I can tell you that it is less than what Myna would charge and the quality is MUCH better. These elements are NOT made in China - Myna gets their elements from China. I am going to assume they are made in Germany becasue that is where Tomnik is from, but they may be be made in some other part of Europe, but the quality is superb. The quality makes setting the pump and its' function much easier. Tomnik is the pioneer for these new elements - 7.5mm for the M-pump as well as the 6.5 for the MW-pump. You can contact Dervtuning to get a quote and see what he can do for you. |

Okay, I am just interested in the elements themselves.
