Strange power increase
I have a 99 S320 with mods.Its a fast car,I beat a S420 with it.
My 83 300SD the other day had a brief power output,as strong as my S. My extra water seperator filter was clogging up.I don't no if I was forcing foam thru injectors,or runaway was incurring. The power scared me and I let up,I was roasting the tires in second gear. Has this happened to anyone,or what was making power. Thanks

Was it accompnied by heavy smoking at the time of power increase...?
Just for safety's sake, its probably worth checking compressions/assessing if the engine has consumed some of its lube etc... Is the lube-level as it should be? Is there traces of oil (ATF) in the VCV line, and does your Vac pump vent to the Manifold/air-filer...?--Some do, so any oil from/via vac. pump could enter the inlet-manifold and give extra power....

I was thinking oil too.I could not look back as I was holding on.Huh lube oil has more power if injected into air stream. But can cause runaway.
Can we mist oil instead of water methonal, for power?

I believe I did have a run away condition,no fuel flow from filter must have fed the engine oil.Solution I will vent blowby to air.
