Every time I have to change the serpentine belt I have to go around the fan blade, what a pain . I can not get the fan off because it needs a special tool which I made but because it turns it still doesn't work.
Any one have any idea how do do this task, thank you for your help.

Does your fan mount to a pulley? If not I use a little block of wood to hold fan still.

Yes it mounts to a pulley I tried to hold it but it continues to move

Lots of time I carefully lock vise grips on pulleys,and let the vise grips lock in place on another part of engine.Don't bend the pulley.
