An aux pump isn't up to the task, you'll need an honest to goodness I/C pump. An I/C pump will be 2 to 3 times larger with considerably more flow.

some of you don't know about the canvas bags that were hung on cars that were traveling. The water stayed ice colde in the Arizona heat, car doing 60 mph and above.
I wonder could you imerse a intercooler in special made bag,and reap the benifits of cold water.

canvas leaks some of the water to the skin of the bag. the rapid air movement caused evaporation, and evaporation removes heat, cooling the bag and it's contents. on a regular basis, this would require a LOT of water, and the bag would crystallize with minerals in weeks...

Go A/A and get yourself a big pump, and a HX35. Come to the dark side! You have plenty of spare parts

I'm turning over the pros and cons of AA or AW IC's myself. One thing I hear repeated almost without fail when speaking of the benefit of an A/W setup is less intake volume, and therefore, less lag.

Has anyone attempted to quantify how much extra lag you get with a given amount of volume? I propose that, even with a pretty large IC and too much plumbing, it's negligible in the worst possible circumstances and possibly non-existent under the best. The difference will be absolutely nothing like going from one size turbo to another.
