valves from turbo engine into non turbo engine

Are they the same size? intake and exhaust valves from a turbo 617 and a non turbo 616. If they are not the same size , what was needed to fit them? Or is this not doable?

616s and 617s appear to be "modular" parts routinly swap back and forth. Worst case you might have to have a machine shop open up the seats a little. if my 616 survived that was on the list I will try and get some sizes for you.

thanks, they do look like they should be able to be used in either. The longer stem I think is the uprated engines.

I am building a new engine as a future replacement for mine. it will still be a 616, but want to set it up so I can turbo it later. My current engine is doing ok but has a lot of miles on it, and is a bit tired. So I know sooner or later will need to do something.

Just for those who may wonder this too, I have put the 617 exhaust valves in the 616. Needed to regrind the valve face to match the head. otherwise a perfect fit.
