Electric Boost Pump $85

pump

This pump comes in the Simple Benz kit. Helps with fuel delivery to the stock lift pump. Rated @ 9 PSI. Cost is $85 shipped in the Continental USA. Anywhere else add $20 with the shipping button at the bottom of the page.
$85? Price has gone up that much? I remember buying them (Airtex brand) at Autozone for $30 a few years ago. Here's one under $13 delivered. I just bought one to play with. These are simple solenoid pumps and are very reliable if you can keep debris away from it.

Raptor

I purchased a Raptor Pump for my 2005 E320 CDI, it was for the Veggie side of my system it blew out in a week the seal leaked and filled the motor with veg oil and then stopped working. That car now has a WVO Design pump that was $500. It works real good. But that is a different topic. I am pretty sure that $13 one will stop working after about 5 gallons. Just like the $30 ones from the auto parts store they do not like diesel.

Why do they not like diesel? I have used them on vo for 9 years now and the only failure I have had was leaving one unused with vo in it for a few years and it gunked up. Not the pump's fault. I have taken it apart, cleaned gunk and put it back together with a clamp and it is working again. After seeing how it's made and the material used, I can't imagine why it would not work for diesel.
