Nitrous and diesel fuel

Hello I was wondering if you can spray nitrous and diesel pre turbo.
That would richen your cylinders and the oxygen would burn it.

If you spray diesel pre-turbo you will get detonation and bend a rod/hole a piston/ blow something else up.

Nitrous is used on pulling trucks, but I have no experience with it at all.

Nitrous + Gasoline
Propane + Diesel

Everybody talks like if you use a Myna pump on a 617.951 it will supply more fuel.Your really shooting nitrous diesel mist.
Why do they sell NOS kits for diesel.I'd love to have a xtra 100 hp at the green light

Nitrous is an oxydizer, not a fuel. You need extra fuel along with the nitrous to make more power.

I squirt gasoline and nitrous in my gasser.I want to shoot diesel as fine mist with nitrous to burn it better.Myna pumps give more fuel,I can do the same with diesel in theory .
Instead of compressing propane with NOS

No, you can't just squirt extra diesel into the manifold. The diesel fuel will ignite too early as the piston is coming up. If you're just going to fog the manifold you need to use a low cetane / high octane fuel to go along with the nitrous. That usually means methanol or propane.

OK,then propane it is,and nitrous

The way the diesel performance guys do it is to over fuel at the pump and add nitrous to clear up the smoke.

You can often see a puff of smoke when the extra fuel comes on and then it clears when the boost and nitrous kick in. You can control the nitrous based on boost, throttle position or EGT.

Most people use a simple throttle switch and a fixed nozzle but I think there are also electronic variable delivery systems now that monitor several conditions in the engine to calculate the proper amount of nitrous to spray.

lol

I have about everything I need for propane except for hobbs switch.I guess I could use a window switch instead to set rpms.

Years ago I bought a nitrous setup to help control smoke when I added larger elements. I haven't tested it out yet, but it could work like a nice little boost enhancement under certain circumstances where over-fueling is present and boost is taking too long to build up. I was thinking this could work nicely when autocrossing a turbodiesel.

Wow that's a big pic

Yep, the only bad part is someone will quote the pic ( or a super long post ) and reply with something like " I like that. " .
