OM603 bigger turbo with trap ox type exhaust?
I was wondering if it is possible to fit a HX30 or HX35 turbo onto an om603 engine with the funky trap-ox style exhaust. Of course the trap ox has been long removed, however I'm curious to know if there will be clearance issues or other problems. Also, what sort of modification is needed to fit either a HX30 or HX35 to a stock setup? I have a 8mm element m type pump in the works and I'm considering my options to increase air flow. I would like to avoid dropping $500-$600 for a euro/w140 exhaust manifold and instead pump that money toward an intercooler.

If you keep at it, you should be able to find a euro / w140 manifold for much less than that...unless the person selling it knows that there is demand for it. I originally got mine for $75 and stupidly sold it years ago for more than that. Check some of the online junkyard sites, sometimes they have one.
