Once I get the bigger turbo installed, it's just a matter of running a boost regulator on the MAP line so it doesn't trigger an over boost code. I have the same setup on my truck and the most boost the ECU sees is 17# when the turbo is pushing far more.

You're running larger elements on the stock, computer-controlled rack, pump? Who did the element swap for you?

Do you have dyno #'s from your current setup?

Yes, I built a calibration machine from scratch and installed the elements myself. The pump is back off the car right now for some more timing adjustments after I made improvements to the timing test function of the machine.

When I first installed the elements, I just put them in and ran the car for a while, uncalibrated. The idle was rough, kind of like it had a full race cam and the power and smoke were crazy.

After I finished the calibration machine and adjusted the pump, it's smooth as stock. I haven't had it dyno'ed but if I was guessing, I'd say it has about 225-250HP. It feels much faster than stock but not a monster like it was before I adjusted the pump.

Once I get the induction finished, I'll work on modifying the rack feedback circuit to essentially "turn the pump up" electronically until I reach my 400HP goal.

Yes sir! Working perfectly. I have about 40, 000 miles on them now along with the special injector nozzles I got from you.

I also still have the original 7mm elements safely stored if you find a buyer.

Got you thinking of what? Getting an electronic pump tuned up or buying the 7mm elements?

Both!!!

Here's the thing... my entire IP is brand new within the last 10k on my car (and my car only has 80k on it), so I'm a little hesitant to mess with it....

Seems the way to go would be to get another pump, and have it overhauled with 7mm or 7.5mm elements, and swap that onto the car, along with a big turbo.

Of course, then I have to worry about the driveline as well.....

Got any pics of the calibration machine? What is involved with installing new elements and calibrating?

I have some pictures of it while I was building it but nothing recent. I'll start another thread for discussion on the machine. I try not to post a lot of stuff about ongoing projects because sometimes life gets in the way and I may not make any progress for months.

I'm currently making changes to the machine so I can make more accurate timing adjustments. Maybe I'll document the calibration process this time around and post the pictures and description.
