OM606 exhaust port spacing
Ok so im looking at buying a 98 and obviously ima make her rip. I was thinking about it a 3.0L is a 3.0L so find a gaser that is performance popular and modify its aftermarket turbo manifold to work with the OM606 IF the port spacing is close enough.
Does anyone have a head off the OM606 that could measure the spacing port end of one to the start of the next all the way down. Well we are at it the intake spacing also for the same reason. no need to reinvent the wheel if i can modify something that is already made. |

Thats simple 906 USD vs 150-250 bucks and a few hours of my time far less out of pocket.

The stock manifold isn't that bad, it flows enough for 500+ bhp.

900hp? Are you planning on entering it in a tractor pull contest with that $150-250 manifold?

you know what I remember you now from 190rev.... all makes sense now.
http://forum.190rev.net/showthread.php?36285-Cheap-8-valve-turbo-using-Saab-manifold&highlight= your gonna use a saab turbo manifold on a 8v mercedes when it wasnt designed for it.... Kinda looks like you and I have the same idea I think. actually come to think of it the reason why I thought to go that route then buying a bunch of bends and spending a few hours pie cutting pieces together was this thread i read a loooonnnggg while back when I still had my Cosworth. |

Ok well clearly you are of no help. If i asked for your opinion if it would work or not then i would take your posts to consideration. if you dont have the info im looking for the move on its that simple. When it does work out you'll be the first one with a photo kk.

Never noticed this was still up I thought someone deleted it. Ive been talking with our friends overseas and for what I want to do at the moment minus the change in sound an tubular manifold gives ill be using my stock manifold with a 90* up pipe to a T3 for the HE351ve ill be using.
Carat i was told that the best they have seen is 434hp on a stock manifold. |
