Hi all,
I am looking to get a W210 E300 soon, I know that the OM606 can handle a lot of power if you can get enough fuel and air into the engine (and the transmission can handle it).
I was just wondering what power the stock pump can support if a slightly larger turbo was added. My thought is that the ECU would see the additional air and then perhaps add some additional fueling (up to a certain point).
I am aware that the pump is partly electrical in its operation, I am actually tempted to see what I can do to tweak this pump to keep is electronically actuated as I believe the rest of the pump is the same as the fully mechanical pump (abit with some additional sensors).
Just wondering if anyone has tried to see how much power they can get out of the stock pump.
Another idea is to upgrade the elements in the pump and then intercept the signal to make the ECU think its injecting the stock amount, same with the boost level. This might then mean that the stock ECU could be used for the fueling maps and curves, however its injecting more than it thinks.
