At what point does fuel increase decrease reliability?

Dieselmeken makes 7.5mm and 8mm IP elements as you all probably know. Does anyone have any information on volume of fuel these elements deliver? And how about stock ones? Does having them decrease longevity of the pump or the engine's lifespan? I can't find too much actual information on these custom parts on the website so I turn to the forums, you guys never fail me

P.S. I plan on putting my 617.952 into an 84 fj60 soon, I'll start a build thread for you guys. That'll be interesting being that I'm in california and all.

It's the way you treat your engine that affects longevity. Rolling coal etc will harm it, which you can do with a stock pump. The Europeans still get many thousand km from these MB engines putting out over twice rated power.

My superpump has 7.5mm elements and is set to 160cc (per 1000 injections). Apparently NA 617s were set up originally at about 42cc, the 617A 52 or 55cc(?).

The stock 5.5 elements are only good for about 65ish cc (depends, the injection takes longer with smaller elements which makes smoke and high EGT).
