Installing a 603 pump on a w210
So what’s involved in swapping a 603 pump? I’m going to get a dieselmeken pump and install it on my w210 e300 1999. How will the electronics communicate and what will I have to do to fix the errors in the system? Haven’t found much online telling me. Will I need a stand alone?

Have Dieselmeken do a w210 pump and it would be a one for one swap with no issues. The mechanical pumps are more for putting a 606 turbo into a w124.

Yeah I’ve noticed that you don’t see a lot of super turbo diesel W210s
See more of the OM606 with the big pumps going in to the W124s Mechanically, it’s plug-and-play. Of course the throttle linkage Will have to be custom built. Otherwise, the fuel shut off control is one thing that comes to mind

I have heard the stock w210 E300 transmission is only good for ~270 hp max before it begins slipping. So a 7.5 mm EDC pump and RocketChip tune and you're there, easy peasy. Even the electronics stay happy so no CEL.

I totalled my 99 e300 but plan on using the motor in my 95 e300. A 603 injection pump makes sense because I'm going full mechanical and that includes the transmission.
The engine has some damage and the radiator/fans/intercooler/turbo and some brackets were wiped out but I'll use parts off the 95. I'm fairly sure going away from computer control will make life a little easier. My older diesels were all mechanical and easier to keep running. I'd like an injection pump off a om603 if one became available. Both engines are om606 but the turbo runs so much better. The 95 should really scoot. Going to a mechanical pump with a computer controlled car might affect transmission shifting. In that case staying with the original pump might be your only option.
