Besides, a summer GTG would allow use to stand outside and check out everyones cars.

My place is centrally east coast located with 20 acres of parking and I'd be willing to put up with you all

Plenty of room here for camping as well but if thats not for you, there are several B & B's plus one motel closeby.

Cheers,

Bill
I know salt ugh! But this is the last winter my SDL will go through so I don't feel so bad. But Bill how is the fishing up by you? I vote to have the spring summer one at your place!

So you're a fisherman too Hattie? Pretty good here. We live near the Susquehanna at the head of the Chesapeake bay. The river has loads of small/ largemouth bass along with rockfish [stripers] certain times of the year.

However, my boat is down on the Eastern part of the Va. shore, specifically Chincoteague Island, from March until mid-november. There we flounder fish in the spring until the sea bass/tuna season comes in ,then we go off-shore and slam them.

Trout fishing is a big deal to some in the spring, but I find no pleasure in standing elbow to elbow just to reel in a fish that was raised in an aquarium. Those farm raised fish taste terrible! Now if you can get hooked up to a native brown, thats a different story. They're tastey!

I would enjoy having everyone here. We're in the boonies where we could make noise and disturb nobody except the deer and foxes. Also fairly close to the highway, I83. And as an added bonus, I'm in a band and if I could talk the guys into it, we'd have live musical mistakes, I mean live music

Would love to meet everyone and best of all, look at MB's. If enough are interested, we'll do it. Oh-the beer store is only 2 miles away, I hardly drink so I could make runs

Cheers,

Bill

Ok lets set the date: Hammonasset around 11am on December 11th. With a rain or snow date of December 18th.

How does that sound?

I'll be their, I bet I can get W140 S600 to go.

I will have to wait for the Spring one. The odds are salt will be on our roads before mid December. I could be wrong but . . . wanting to bring the 300D Turbo rather than my 300TD salt would be completely out.

Would be great to finally get to put some faces with the names/cars. Also, great chance to have others drive one/both of my vehicles and see what they need done to them . . .

You don't have to bring the MB's if the salt bothers you. How about that "year round beater" Heck next winter I will most probably show up in a Saturn.

Thumbs up works for me

The weekend of Dec. 11th sounds good. The family and I just returned from Naven in Ct. about an hour ago. The Sd is a nice turnpike cruiser....a little higher rpms than the Black Bomber with its "one year only" rear end. Perhaps I should have grabbed that nice 85 rear last summer......shoot there was an Sd AND a d.....Oh well.
We have JUST decided to "fly" the Sd down to South Carolina tonite or 3AM. for a week. I have vacation time.....she quit her job after 9 years and she has family waiting. It seems that we MAY even get in some skeet shooting at the club.
Time to pack up some stuff and hit the road again!
Lets get a large crowd.
Best wishes always,
spo out

Again, best regards to the NE crew from Summer at Hartford more than a year ago.....

Lobsters move closer to shore in wintertime too, dont they? I will never forget McDonalds at Rhode Island selling lobster rolls the last time travelling up there.

Y'all are a spirited and hardy bunch.

I am all set for the 11th I got out of work for the day, I just have one class from 8am to 10:30. But the professor usually lets us out around 10 so I will swing back to Milford pick up my dad and head out. I should be their by 11:30.

I have yet to go to one MS GTG where it wasn't either 20 degrees out or raining! Hopefully we luck out.

Where is Brian C I have not seen him post in a few days?

Hattie, Brian left last Wed. for 8 days so he'll be back this Thursday or Friday.

Yeah, those New England McDonalds are great for lobster sandwiches.

Down on the Eastern shore of Md./Va. they have a not too bad crabcake for $5.

Cheers,

Bill
