Eric

Did you photoshop any of those photos? The setting is amazing! Looks like a beautiful day.
Nothing like a day with some good geezers.

kyle, thanks for your compliments! i didn't photoshop anything, but i wouldn't mind airbrushing a few of my dents and scratches.

the day started rainy and overcast and thankfully the sun came out and it turned beautiful!

cheers
eric

The "Music Player" is a 1962 Channel Master 'Swing-Along' 45 RPM record player with AM radio, from Western Germany.
I call it my 'Vintage Compact Disc Player'.
Miss Daisy had a fine and safe trip home on RT.1.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Don't want to hazard I-95 where most everyone is at 75 mph or more.

Nice 'S'.. I had a 230S many years ago. I stupidly sold it. Shoulda kept it.

Yes 'Miss Daisy' looks great in the pictures.
Can't see the warts in the chrome or the rusty rockers. She runs great and so won't be for sale for awhile. I'm still having too much fun.

Since I was running late this morning,'Miss Daisy' and I DID brave the screaming semis and crazy SUV drivers on I95, for the morning trip to Richmond!

Happy Motoring, Mark

Great get together! I really like the 220S, looks like an early 1960's (1964 or earlier?) vintage machine. My family had a black one that my Dad bought new in Munich in about March of 1964 or so. Drove it several hundred thousand Km, then my Mom got a 1971 220D, which we brought back to the US.

Good luck on the next one! Jim

Jim,
My 220S is a '60 model, one of the earliest. I did see a black '61 or '62 parked in front of an Exeter repair shop when I was up in New Hampshire last summer. The '60 Fintails used an under-dash radio speaker housing. Later Fintails had the speaker grill on top so the optional AC unit could be fitted under the dash. Later 220 models (Not sure what year) also had the 'bullet' turn signal lights mounted inboard of the headlamp units.
Since I acqired 'Miss Daisy' I've noticed very few other Fintils on the road. (and they used to be so common!) She ran so well for the GTG, I'm planning some more trips later on.

Happy Motoring, Mark

Awesome. Now I can't wait to have another GTG

Great cars and great scenery!

That 220S is such a cool looking car.

Speaking of 220S, I saw one at my mechanic's shop yesterday. It was light sky blue with the two piece wheel covers. That was a really cool car. The wood looked immaculate, the engine ran great, the interior was redone... very nice.

It was a late 60's model though (W108/109) [Sorry.. don't really know the difference]

Holson the difference is easy... A 108 is a short wheelbase 250 S, SE, 280 S, SE, etc.... A 109 is a larger 300 class car, like a 300SEL, you get the picture... A fintail is typically a W110, or 111...
