I-Speed-Crawford to Make Big Splash at Rim of the World Rally

Top Tier Cars, Engines, Turbo Kits, and Four-Wheel Dynapack to be On Hand

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — This weekend, May 6-7, I-Speed-Crawford will make their presence felt at the Rim of the World Rally. Yes, there will be cars, yes there will be engines, but on hand will be I-Speed-Crawford's All -Wheel Dynapack dyno, ready and willing to roll even the highest of horsepower kings. For $45 prior to, and $60 the day of the event, participants will get two runs on the highly accurate "take-it-anywhere" dyno.

"This will be far more than a mere display," said vice president Chris Escamilla. "We want everyone to get involved and have fun. Our dyno challenge is a great way to facilitate that."

Whether you are a participant looking for power bragging rights, spectator having fun watching power being displayed on the dyno, there is sure to be a lot of action going on. If that wasn’t enough spectators can check out display booths inside Poppy Pavilion as well as outside between the pavilions. On display in the pavilion will be three precision-built engines, including:

• A Crawford Performance S2 shortblock
• A Crawford Performance 2.6-liter S4 engine with the new CP32 turbo kit
• A Crawford Performance R3 2.65-liter shortblock

"Our products have been highly touted in the Subaru community for some time, but that doesn't mean we ever rest on our laurels," said president Quirt Crawford. "We're constantly striving to bring out new, innovative products, all of which can uphold the durability and performance reputation we've worked hard to build. The engines on display will be no exception."

Inside Poppy Pavillion, Crawford Performance will have a 2005 Sti with their prototype CP35 kit. Modifications include:

• A R3 engine with built AVCS Ver 7 heads
• Motec standalone
• Sti 6 Speed DCCD transmission
• 800 cc injectors
• Crawford Performance front-mount intercooler kit
• STi brakes
• Whitleine Group-4 Coilovers
• 3” Scooby Sport Cat back exhaust
• CP35 Turbo Kit

And if the dyno outside wasn't enough, I-Speed and Crawford will also have two highly impressive cars, each producing in excess of 500 horsepower. Those cars will be:

• A championship-winning 2001 Nissan R34 N1 Skyline GT-R fully race-prepped
• A 2004 Mercedes-Benz CLK500 with HPS supercharger/intercooler system

"The I-Speed/Crawford team will be on hand to answer any of your technical or not so technical questions," said lead programmer Bill Knose. "We stress not only high-quality products and tuning, but lots of personalized attention."
