concours motors(www.concoursmotors.com) is hosting a perf driving school friday oct 6th. money goes to the march of dimes.

entry is 250$ extra person is 50$. included is lunch, dinner and a blend of classroom, in-car, follow me drills discussing racing lines, passing zones speed limits and other such.

i believe that the osthoff in elkart lake is the home for this event if you want to go early or stay over. i also think the cancer walk/run is the next day.

if you are interested post it here. maybe if we get in early enough they can have a diesel class to show those gassers how its done.

i talked to dan this afternoon. he is having a planning meeting the beginning of june. thats gives us 6 weeks to decide if we want to go. he thought it was a great idea to have a diesel class. anything to swell the car count.

so whatcha think? 14 reads and no posts.

i got other ideas for a wi/il gtg if this is too expensive.

hey i was thinking about posting about organizing a gtg a little bit ago. i got sidetracked but i'd be real interested in meeting up somewhere, i'm up just south of the IL/wisc border.

sure we can gtg sometime. come on up to racine. gallery night is may 5th. about 16 shops open until 9pm. lots of interesting art folks and some impressed with the idea of homemade fuel. nice sushi or thai or fish places to eat on a friday.

i know lake villa. i used to live in hoff est before making the move to packer land.

all the art galleries are open late 5-9 on the first friday of the month thru sept. then there are sat. nite gallery nites july 22 and nov 18th(there might be one more in aug) you can browse about 16 galleries and shops, graze from shop to shop with some pretty good, some good and some okay wines.

we have been using this as a good reason to get out of the house for the last couple years. besides the shop owners are fun and we do buy some items and use them as unique and individual Christmas gifts.

heck any sat gallery nite would be a good reason for a gtg.
