Hell yea
I'd be good in a couple of weeks. Brandon is helping me replace my tranny Friday and I should be good to go after that.
How about the 12th? |

I was just thinking of reviving the NW meetup thread!!!
I've noticed so many people on here lately from portland, it would be a good idea. Pick us a date babyjames and I'm in! BTW can we get this sticky...I've noticed they do the same for the east coast gtgs. Thanks! |

Meeting place
Ok so I was talking with Brandon on a place to meet before we head up and this is what we have come up with.
The Loyd Cinima Parking lot is usually half empty early before noon and there would be place to see and meet everyone easily. It is also really close to I-84 so we can all just hop on there if we head to the falls. What do you all think? As for a time I prefer before noon but I'm a morning person. Any thoughts?

Well I have a 3 hour 186 mile drive to get there ( to the falls ). About 2pm is more like it for me. I tend to sleep off Saturday nights abit I may not be able to make it that weekend anyway.

I am not sure the meeting place was going to be the falls themselves but that is still in the air

Ahh that is true, I assumed everyone was actually in Portland or near by. That is why I chose the Lloyd Center. Still taking ideas. I'm excited to do this. I'm even putting a post it on one of my professors cars just to scrounge up as many people as possible.
Also maybe I mis-understood. Are these something where you meet up at the falls or like a old car cruise where we all meet and then mob over in a show of MB power, prestigue, and a cloud of diesel smoke

Ahem! Biodiesel smoke.
Fossil fuelers are welcome, too, I guess. Sun. morning would be the best for me. I work retail, so I have to be in around noon.
I was thinking a good, old-fashioned cruise. The Lloyd cinema lot is a wonderful place to meet. How about the middle of March sometime? Too far in the future? Don't want to give too short a notice for the out-of-towners.... Not to mention the fact that I need to run a wheel over 'ole Wilhelm before I'm ready to show him off! (Who knows when I'll find time to do that!) If Saturday is better for some folks, I could prob'ly duck out of work for a couple hours, provided I give the Man ample notice. GLAD TO SEE SUCH ENTHUSIASTIC SUPPORT. There are a ton of these cars here in PDX. Jay

March seems a bit off becuase I've noticed that most people who come to these GTG around here will come most any day they can get free...the long term just gives them an excuse to say they forgot
I put on a GTG last year and we got a few people to show. We lost Lee to texas (and sadly with the passing of his wife, her too). The 12th would work hoever I could undestand if some people would want a couple more weeks. Just have to remember...if you are going to ask for more time and such you should atleast bother to show! The West coast is weird sometimes heh |

February 12, around 9:00 a.m.?
Won't give me time to polish my car, but it'll be raining anyway.
Let's go for the Lloyd Cinema lot. Meet around 0900, roll out at 0930? Bring your own coffee. Jay.
