California Statewide w123 and Diesel GTG 6/25/06

Hey all, we trying to get all those who may be interested in attending our june w123/diesel/whatever you may want to bring meet. Information as follows:

Date: Sunday June 25th 2006
Place: Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach, CA then north to Morrow Bay
Time: 10:30 at Splash, we will greet and eat and do a little talking. We will likely depart by 11:30 for Old Creek Road north of Morrow Bay

Agenda: Meet at Pismo at 10:30 Line our cars up somewhere with a nice view rr just take over that whole block that leads to the pier (cameroy ave). stay and talk until it gets crowded than leave to morroy bay like last time probably around 11:30-12ish

Drive through "Old Creek Road" (small european like road with lots of turns, its about I think five miles long or even more. its hella tight, way better than that one road in Cambria. (leads to Morroy Bay this should be the best part of the meet)the road is like one and 1/2 road in width sometimes so you'd have to honk the horn to be safe on the turns (just in chase of on coming traffic). I suppose we will drive up and down the same road, we can take a short stop at the top for some photos. On the drive one or two may want to stop and stage some photos and video, maybe around a turn or something.

We will drive back down to Morrow Bay and stop at a nice park (hopefully with some shade) and take photos, chat and maybe get a BBQ and some sandwiches going. I guess if anyone wants to race or let others try our cars, maybe that is, the owner must approve it we can do that too. I suppose that would be it.

So lets get a final confirmation list going so we can get a final count for the 25th. If anyone would like to add anything or change anything on the adgenda just let us know.

For those attendind if you could send me an email to zack(at)boardmonger.com (the at is an @, i just don't want more spam) with your name, phone number and car that would be awesome. Before the meet I'd like to make a contact sheet so it is easier for all of us to get in touch. That would also be good if someone is running late and want to meet up with us.

We will have convoys from both the SF/Bay Area as well as from the LA area. We also have a guy in Sacramento so if anyone wants to drive with him let me know. Hope you guys will join us!

The GTG sounds interesting and it's local for me too! I think I will be in town that weekend.

I'm biased, pick the benz

Potential showing:

w123's: 17 cars (300d turbo/non-turbo/euro, 300cd, 300td, 280e)
w124's: 1 car (91 300d 2.5 turbo)
w126's: 1 car (87 300sdl)
Total: 19 cars so far

Can this be made stick so it doesn't dissapear in the daily postings?

Cool. I'll get an updated count and send out some more emails on wednesday. Looks like we ought to be around 20 or so cars by the time it rolls around.

I would be willing to go if there is a convoy from the Orange County area, Which car should I bring the 1999 E300 or the 1982 300D?
