Caravan from Austin to Centerville for GTG?

Austin and Central TX Benz-heads:

Any of y'all planning to attend the GTG in Centerville on the 29th?

IF so, let's caravan to the shindig. I'll be at the farm but it's only 4 miles off US79 (which IIRC, is on the way to Centerville from Austin) so hooking up shouldn't be a big deal if I know what time you'll be passing through.

How cool would a klatter of Mercedes-Benz™ look (and sound!!) scootng along through east Texas?

I'm coming up from Pflugerville... where shall we meet up for the convoy? Someplace with a big parking lot? Maybe my A/C will be fixed by then :)

My friend told me a joke yesterday, said he used the 260 system for air conditioning. 2 windows down at 60 miles per hour. For me that would be 485 :)

On the 29th, I'll be 50+ miles from P-ville, out US79 in Milano, TX. It's about 70 miles from Milano to C-ville so, if we're supposed to be meeting in C-ville for around 1:30 - 2:00, the Austin Caravan should probably plan on passing through Milano around noon.

Milano is a tiny burg so the choices for a rendezvous are limited. If you think you'll need "facilities" (ie fuel or a potty) the only two choices are:
1) A nasty truckstop with a dirt parking lot on the east edge of Milano, on the south side of 79, right at the 79/190/36 intersection.
2) A CEFCO / Shell convenience store on the east side of Milano, located on the north side of 79, about 1/2 mile past the railroad overpass (this CEFCO would be my choice).

Mileages:
Austin -> Milano, TX = 70 miles
Round Rock TX -> Milano, TX = 50 miles
Milano, TX -> Centerville, TX = 71 miles

The Austin gang is supposed to meet up at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock at 10:30am, and leave at 11:00am. If they've changed their plans, I have yet to hear it.

Good! I searched for that info but didn't turn it up...from the Dell Diamond, it's approximately 45 miles out 79 to Milano. Plan on a shade over an hour to get here...you definitely do not want to speed through Hutto, Thrall, Thorndale, Rockdale or Milano.

I'll plan on waiting for the gang at the CEFCO station on the east side of Milano, starting at 11:50 or so.

No real need to stop in Milano for me, when I see you guys, I'll pull out and catch up (well, at least as fast as 67 throbbing hp can!). But, if you don't see an orange (um, Englisch Rot) 115 sitting near the highway, please give me a minute to get there.

If there's a change in plans, I'd appreciate a call 512-293-1648.

1- 123.193
1- 123.133

I've been planning on trying to attend depending on the work situation - but I'm coming up from San Antonio - what exactly is the "Dell Diamond" and do I need a "loupe" to find it??? :D

The Dell Diamond is a ball park. I'll just add you to the list of attendees.
