AMGFest 06 Registration now open... August 26th and 27th
[ I'm posting this upon request of this event's organizer, 55fanatic on some of the other MB boards.
Regards, Steve, aka mbc43amg, aka c55m8o] Hello Everyone, its that time once again. This is the OFFICIAL RELEASE of the Itinerary for the 2006 AMGfest Weekend. I wanted to get a website up to answer anyquestions but I just have not gotten around to it. And prolly will not have time(read this as I am looking for a volunteer to get a not so fancy website put together for me, if interested please contact me). This years event will be similar to last year's but 2 things will be different... We will have events BOTH days, and second, there will be no monolithic rain. Day one will take place August 26th. It will take place at the Montvale, New Jersey US Headquarters. We will have time to show off our rides and what not like last time. Day 2(August 27th) involves some friendly competition amongst AMG owners and Porsche owners and a few other manufacturers in an auto cross environment. Our track event will take place in the parking lot of the Meadowlands(Giants stadium). This event is being run by the NJ chapter of the Porsche owners of America. PRE registration of 20 cars is open now, however let it be known some of the pre registration spots ARE filled already so please get back to me ASAP. Event starts at 8am on sunday and will be $40 for those who participate. We will be in our own AMG class and may have trophies for the event. For those not interested in competing we do encourage you to come and spectate and enjoy the atmosphere of friendly competition. There is no entrance fee for those who wish to watch. This event is not sponsored by mercedes but will be attended by staff and possibly some AMG factory vehicles. This year's event looks to be bigger and better then last years. I encourage you to register for the weekend as soon as you can as it will allow us to gain a much clearer idea of how many people will be coming. There is no official hotel but I will do my best to get something set up for us that weekend. There is a Marriot across the street from MBUSA headquarters, make reservations there for now if you want to get it out of the way. In order to Register for the event please send an email to NortheastAMG at yahoo.com Subject line: 2006 Registration Name: Address(city and state only): Age: Mercedes vehicle: Number of guests: Days of participation: Mercedes Forums apart of: Forum name(s): Thanks again, and lets make 2006 an event to remember... Pass this along to any forum I may have missed, and any questions feel free to EMAIL me at northeastAMG address. I got too many PMs last year and missed some. Also this event is open to ALL Mercedes if you have questions regarding this, please contact me. |

EDIT: Sorry, just changed my reply; ignore the response you read in the e-mail brodcast, if you get them. I thought I was responding to the "AMG Challenge" registration (which is closed), not the AMGFest registration. Silly me!
Good to hear. See you there. What are you driving? |
