PHOTOS Dallas/Houston/Austin Meet in Centerville TX 7-29-06

Convoy from Austin. We picked up Randy in Milano on the way.

First to arrive at the BBQ place.. I lost one of my flags while on the road.

Group shot.

More pictures at http://zbros.net/~marko/mercedes/meeting-7-29-06/

A very big thank you to the organizers and everyone who shared their knowledge.

My brand new a/c compressor siezed on the way home. Now the engine grinds to a halt as soon as I turn on the A/C..

We're thinking about having another one in October. I'll let you know if this idea progresses any further.

Here's a few photos from me.

This diesel's engine bay was so clean, you could eat off of it!

This S-class wasn't there for the meet, but rather a park attendee, but I felt they were worth photographing.

This similar looking S-class however, was there for the meet.

This is the clean engine bay 300SD

Seen on the grille of the 6.9.

redassag00 announces the winners of our "show and shine" while I experiment with framing techniques by using two trees.

R. Leo of Austin, winner of the Vintage category, 1975 240D.

Their names escape me at the moment, but here are the rest of the winners.

Owner of the 1986 300SL Euro, winner of the 80's category.

Owner of the 1994 E420, winner of the 90's category.

Owner of one of the Houston based 2006 E55, winner of the 2000-present category.

Owner of the 1984 300SD that got best of show.
