Northeast/mid Atlantic Gtg??? 10/14?
I know you guys up north are in the planning stages for a GTG around the same time and I don't want interfere or lose guests because of it but I am thinking about another GTG here on Sat. 10/14 with a rain date of 10/15. That will be the only weekend in Oct. that I can host.
If you northern guys can't make it because of your GTG being around the same time, I can certainly reschedule for the spring bar any more major malfunctions like I had last year. For those of you that didn't come to the one in May of '05, heres a link to the pix:http://www.angelfire.com/al3/alfie/gtg/negtg.html We are located about an hour north of Baltimore Md. and about the same distance south of Harrisburg Pa. Easy to find from either I-83 or I-95. Let me know what you all think. And if BC can't make it, we'll have to cancel until next spring. A GTG here wouldn't be the same without those great burgers! Cheers, Bill |

Well, personally I'd prefer to head down to your place, Bill. The farm is a much better location than a state park.
We'll need to gauge interest in both places to see which will draw the greatest number of folks. Additionally, John just concluded one last Saturday, so, the timing might not be the best for SE Pennsylvania. |

Brian,
I was aware that there may not be much interest as John, who is kinda in my neck of the woods, just had one but thought I'd give it a shot to see just how much interest there is. No big deal. A spring one would work well. Everyone has cabin fever then and would be anxious to do something. Whatever....I'll just wait and see how much interest there is. Gator, We're not all that far from you. Maybe 2 hours or so. Be sure and watch the posts and if it doesn't work this time we will try again! Cheers, Bill |

Yeah if I had to chose I'd go to Bills place first. I think maybe we should merge these threads and GTG efforts. My previous planning may have been a bit pre mature.
What does everyone else think??

Anybody else? I'd like to have at least 10 members to make it worthwhile. Come on. Don't be bashful. I know its a long ways for some of you but there are a couple motels/bed & breakfast places not too far away plus we have acres of parking and camping area. I'll even throw in the firewood and marshmallows if somebody wants to camp.
Cheers, Bill |

I'm probably good for a few extra people as well- some that were supposed to be at mine but were held up.
People, Bill's place is such a worthwhile location to have this, plus the countryside drive last year at the end was worth it all by itself!

I was wondering how everyone liked that back road cruise. I figured that it would be a nice a change for most that have to travel with the masses. Glad you liked it. Beautiful vistas here. Not bad out your way either John! But man oh man has Fredrock grown! 20 years ago when i was out there a lot it was just a little hick town.
Hopefully we can get enough to do it again. If not this time then next spring. We'll see. Cheers, Bill |

Sounds great, I will be coming back from my New England trip that day, but if I dont get into late I would love to stop by. I could definately make the rain date of 10/15.. Fawn Grove is only about 6 miles from my house.

I can give you another 'maybe', I will definitely go to one of the NE-GTGs, maybe even both.

For some reason the response seems to be luke warm for both GTG's. Not sure why.
