A great time was had by all. Thanks Mat for hosting the GTG at Old World Automotive, and providing the great eats and goodies. Was great to see you again, Russell, thanks for the great pictures and your presence, and all the help you provide through Diesel Giant. A lot of great cars, people, and ----man a live Unimog. We should plan a spring GTG.

It was my pleasure to host the event and it made me quite happy to see how much turn-out there was and knowing everyone had a good time. In the future I would like to host 3 such events a year.

Hopefully this will grow into a local tradition and even more folks will make the trip to pass an afternoon fellow Merc drivers.

FWIW, there were two w126s there. Both are AMG cars. The sedan is a true AMG Hammer with the 32v 6.0L. The coupe is a 6.0L non-32v motor. A real wolf in sheep's clothing.

On another note, I've been thinking about holding an event giving inspections on vehicles. Better forewarned about issues than to just let them sneak up and do their damage. Any interest?

Interest in your inspection event?

You'd better believe it!!!!

Sorry I couldn't make it on Sat - looks like a great time. I would have spent many hours drooling over that 32V. I wonder how many of those were ever in the States? I can't imagine any more than a handful still remaining.

Cool. Very cool.

Awesome pics. I'd agree with John, we need more people at the ones up here. You can't tell me Atlanta has more Mercedes' than the DC area.

Sure looks like a great turnout. I was supposed to be there, but my daughter in law decided to make me a first time grandfather instead. Hopefully next year I'll be there and bring the new addtition to our family with me. Glad ya'll had a good time. Mat & Jen are great hosts.

Awesome idea, I'd definitely take you up (you'd better have a thick note pad for my car though!). Great way to promote your shop, too.

Yes I say we do it again in the spring and do a show-n-shine etc. That would be really fun. Where were all the Florida peeps?
