ATLANTA: Open House and gathering at Old World Automotive

We will be hosting an open house at the shop on Saturday, December 9th from 1pm to 5 pm.

This began as a local w123 event and has since been expanded. There will be a wide array of MBs, mostly vintage. Come and meet fellow drivers, swap stories, talk cars, and tour the shop. Who knows what surprises may show up.

If you are in the area, please stop in. Light refreshments will be provided. Please send RSVPs to service@oldworldauto.com for the head count.

The event will be held at 270 Arnold Road in Lawrenceville, Ga 30044.
Directions to the shop will be posted as the event draws nearer.

Hope to see you there.

Looks like Donna may be coming in on the tail end of the meet, but I should be there from the get-go. Looking forward to it!

Please get those RSVPs in ASAP. The event is coming up on Saturday. So far over 40 confirmed RSVPs. See some very unusual tin, meet extraordinary folks, hob knob with some of the top brass in the local alternative diesel fuel scene, view the latest conversion by OWA, and who knows what other surprises may lurk. Hope to see you there. RSVP @ service@oldworldauto.com.

Yep it should be 15 degrees in the morning. I wish I had installed the pencil glow plugs now!

Should be fun seeing everybody.

It was great fun at the gathering today. I took about 50 pics for all those that could not make it to view.

Thanks to carusle for "instigating" the idea of a w123 meet 'n' greet, and Old World Auto for graciously hosting. We had a lot of fun and saw some neat cars. I also took some photos of the event, and have them posted here:

It is the plan to host such events about three times per year. Hopefully you will make it down for the next one.

Thank you to everyone who came out. A good time was had by all and the weather cooperated wonderfully all things considered. There were some spectacular cars present with a wonderful variety of w123s. I hope folks took the time to oogle over the AMG Hammer that was present. Not many of those in existence.

Keep an eye out for the next event. This event will comprise of a tech session of inspections. Curious about the condition of your Merc and want to know what work you should be planning for? This will be the event for you.
